Working with Templates

The link uses HTML based templates to create printable quotes / opportunities or to send these items as e-mails.

These templates can include special tags which are in turn used to merge data from the ACT contact , opportunity and the MYOB Exo order records, in the case of contacts and opportunities the link can merge any field within these entities, for order records there is a set of static fields which can be included in your templates, below is a list of all the fields available for merging from quote / order records.

Note these fields are case sensitive.

Each line item has its own css tags which can be used to customise the appearance of individual line item fields , for example you can hide the discount field on one template or change its color in a different template.

For contact and opportunity fields you can use the following format to include any field you want into a template:

For opportunities [[o:Field Name]] , e.g. [[o:Name]]

For contacts [[c:Field Name]] , e.g. [[c:Contact]]

The link comes with two sample templates which can be used for reference or as a base to build and customise additional templates.
