Create new QuickBooks - Online (QBO) invoice from ACT!
In this sestion we will look at how to raise a new sales invoice. An invoice can only be created against a customer if the contact is lnked. Refer to Link ACT! contact to an existing QBO contact for help on this topic.
To create a new sales invoice:
1. Go to the detail view of the relevant contact and select the QuickBooks tab.
2. Open (click) the Sales icon to show the customers invoice list - transactions will only display if they exist.
3. Open (click) the New Invoice icon to create a new invoice.
4. Click into each line item and begin typing the product/service item name - allow the search to run.
5. From the list, select the product/service you wish to add to the invoice.
A few pointers:
- To add an additional line click Add Line
- To delete a line, click the delete icon located to the left of the row you wish to delete
- QBO will assign the next available invoice number
6. After data-entry is completed, it can then be saved by clicking on the Save icon.
